We work with Insurance companies, Managing General Agencies, Brokers, Captives, Agents, direct clients to name a few with a focus on exceptional customer service and value.

Since our inception we have performed thousands of surveys for the Property/Casualty industry providing a product designed with our clients involvement with the ability to be flexible as situations dictate. Our staff recognizes the crucial points that need to be addressed in today’s insurance industry and can provide surveys in a timely manner consistent with our client’s requirements.

Our team is made up of a staff of individuals that bring together extensive loss control, construction, brokerage and underwriting experience. Knowledge in all of these areas will allow us the fluid movement necessary to produce a superior product in line with your requirements in a timely fashion. We understand the time sensitive aspect of loss control and will work with you to design and implement a program that will fit your needs and requirements. Robert D. Tefft, CSP

CRO

Robert Tefft brings over 30 years of training and expertise in the loss control and safety industries to National Safety and Risk. Prior to joining NSR Robert held multiple positions over 12 years at RRI, most notably as New England Branch Manager overseeing a staff of loss control field consultants throughout seven states and as Director of Business Development. Before joining RRI, Robert was a member of RSA Insurance Company’s Loss Control Engineering Department which included time on the corporate risk management team. He also served in the legal and regulatory compliance department where he managed loss control regulatory compliance for the entire company. He holds state qualifications in Texas, Arkansas, and Code Rule 59 and 60 in New York.

Charles Stahler

CEO

Charles Stahler serves as the CEO of National Safety & Risk, bringing over 30 years of experience to the company in the fields of customer service and management, and as a safety professional. Before transitioning to his role at NSR, Charles held the position of Director of Operations at Reliable Inspection Co. Within this role, he was responsible for new business, client relations, and day to day operations. Prior to this promotion, Charles oversaw quality control and managed a team of loss control field consultants. Before entering the insurance loss control business, Charles’ career included time at both Cox Communications and Coca-Cola. He currently serves on the board of directors for Galexa Home Builders and the Underwriter’s Services Association. Charles is also the incumbent President of ARCO.

Josephine Johns

Director of Operations

Josephine Johns is the Senior Vice President at National Safety & Risk, providing 38 years of loss control operations and management experience to the company. Josephine spent her entire career at RRI before transitioning to NSR. She held the title Vice President of Operations for 37 years, and was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including financial management, regional management, recruitment, support and quality assurance.
